listening/enjoying/feeling/planning/waiting/reading

Listening to the book of Ephesians on my Bible.me app. I love this app! It’s my favorite for listening to the Word.

Enjoying the solitude of the early morning and my clean desk. Man, was it haaaaaard to get my butt out of bed this morning but the fact that I FINALLY have a clean desk for the first time since I moved was incentive enough to get up!

Feeling equally excited to get married and apprehensive about the wedding. I so can’t wait to marry the Fiancé but I always stress before any big event I’m involved in. The fact that it’s my big day exacerbates that a little. BUT! I’m determined to not just survive this season but truly enjoy it 🙂

Planning new stuff for the blog….I’M SOOOOOO EXCITED 🙂  I have been slack in writing this year but it’s super hard for me to juggle wedding, work, new projects and blog all at the same time. Bear with me.

Waiting for the weather to cool off. IT’S SO HOT -_-

searching/listening/packing/brainstorming/wishing/reading

Searching for my wedding dress. Long before I ever met the Fiancé, when I always wondered how I was ever going to choose a wedding dress! The clock is ticking and I’m still wondering. There are some beeeeeautiful dresses out there and lots of them come with some pretty hefty price tags. Yeah, not trying to spend a fortune, just trying to find a pretty white dress with lace.

Listening to podcasts on Rainmaker FM. It’s a podcast network with a smorgasbord of shows about digital marketing, content creation, writing, entrepreneurship, and everything in between. One of the greatest resources in this area, I LOVE IT! Highly, highly recommend it to anyone who’s interested in these topics.

Packing up the house. My fam is moving to another abode and I’m surrounded by boxes and random items that I can’t pack away until the very last minute. I’ll be somewhat out of boxes from now until the wedding so I don’t have to go through to much of this when I move out my parents’ house. This is going to be the perfect time to really go through all my stuff systematically and get rid off all the junk I don’t need to keep anymore.

Brainstorming through some ideas I have for projects I want to work on. My brain is always working on something…

Wishing my brain would shut up and shut down when it’s time to sleep. When I’m exhausted, I usually don’t have trouble falling asleep but lately, I’ve had a hard time getting to sleep cause my mind won’t stop running long enough for me to doze off. This is when I wish I came with an ‘off’ switch.

I’m going to be doing Currently Wednesday weekly. I love writing these kinds of posts and I love reading other posts too. Feel free to link your post in the comments, I’d love to see what you’re currently doing! You can either use my prompts or do your own. Each post will have about 6 prompts, and the last will probably always be reading ;).

writing/watching/choosing/thinking/wondering/reading

Writing lists. Lists for church activities. Lists for the wedding. Lists for the blog. So much to do, so very much to do!

Watching Little House on the Prairie. I have seasons 1 & 2 on DVD and I’ve been revisiting Walnut Grove this evening as I’m knocking tasks off my to-do lists. One of my favorites 🙂

Choosing items for the wedding registry with The Fiancé. It’s such fun planning our new life together! Looking forward to being a Mrs.!! ^.^

Thinking of what to bring to lunch tomorrow. I’ve brought my lunch twice this week already which, considering my usual eating habits, is pretty good! I’m going to try and plan out all of next week so there’s no guesswork 🙂

Wondering if I want to use a Happy Planner (Amazon) next year or if I should try something different. I really like my Happy Planner buuuuuut there are so many other systems to try out. Buuuuut Me & My Big Ideas just came out with some beeeeautiful new editions and, oh goodness, I can’t decide!

trying/wearing/working/listening/planning/reading

Trying to lock down my sleep/wake up schedule this week. Early to bed, early to rise is my new motto and I’m slowly getting used to a new 9 to 5– 9pm to 5am that is. IT. IS. HARD.

Wearing my scrubs from work cause I’ve been too lazy to change after getting in from work. Oh, and as you can see from the pic above, I’m also wearing no makeup. I wouldn’t mind so much cause I’m comfortable going bare-faced but my eyebrows…I need to get them back in shape -_-.

Working on my summer plans for the blog. Can you believe the summer will be here soon? This will be my first summer as a non-student so I’m looking forward to having some fun (even with my full-time job). Some of that fun will be happening here on the blog so I’m excited! I haven’t been blogging regularly this year and it’s been hard to get on a consistent schedule BUT it’s getting there! 🙂

Listening to Trashin’ the Camp from Tarzan, the Phil Collins/N’Sync version.  Disney playlist on Spotify. Feeling nostalgic this afternoon. And duh, was it not the jam? Lol.

Planning a dual baby shower with my cousin for some friends of ours. A movie night. VBS. Oh yeah, and a wedding! Overwhelmed doesn’t quite do what I’m feeling justice.

Yeah cause I can’t just read one book at a time.

So about blogging consistently, I’m going to be doing Currently Wednesday every week from now on. I love writing these kinds of posts and I love reading other posts too. I used to follow another blog that did this weekly but they don’t do it anymore so I’m going to start my own. Feel free to link your post in the comments, I’d love to see what you’re currently doing! You can either use my prompts or do your own. Each post will have about 6 prompts, and the last will probably always be reading ;).

Hope ya’ll are having a fantastic week so far!

This week’s themes:

loving – showing – shopping – making – choosing

I am loooooooooooooooving this site I found for making graphics.  How in the world did I not know of this before!?!? Canva.com is the awesome-est thing for non-professionals like myself who have no formal training but nevertheless have an eye for beautiful graphics.  You can create an account for free and start designing! There are some features you have to pay for but plenty to play around with without spending a dime!

Finally showing my new site off.  I’ve been working on my new blog, Purple Ink Studios for awhile and I’m so excited now that it’s got a pulse and heartbeat (as the BF put it, *giggle*).  Farewell old site! Yay for a new corner of the interwebs!

Shopping for nothing at the moment. But I did receive three new books in the mail today for the thesis paper on reading and the brain that I’m currently researching for.

Making…juice!  I’ve been juicing for the fam every night this week and it’s been lovely 🙂  Combinations have included carrots, apples, pears, celery, cucumbers, lemons, oranges, ginger, and pineapple.  Yummy!

Choosing a song to sing in church this week.  Haven’t quite nailed one down yet…
